The Inner Islands

The Inner Islands of the Seychelles Archipelago are mostly Granitic. The main island, Mahe, is home to the majority of the population. Traveling to Seychelles by plane, this is where you will land first, at the Seychelles International Airport. The tallest peak, on Mahe and in the whole of Seychelles, stands at only 905m [2,969 feet] tall.

There is a lot to discover while on Mahe, a guided tour of the island will take you to many historic places, and breath taking view points. From the capital Victoria, a day charter by boat can grant you access to the Sainte Anne Marine park where you can admire an array of Tropical Fish and Corals.

Continue on to the second and third most inhabited granitic islands where you can trek through the almost Jurassic looking Coco de Mer forest of the Vallee de Mai on Praslin, or catch a glimpse of the endemic Paradise Fly Catcher in the L’Union Estate of La Digue.

Wherever your journey begins, it is sure to begin and end only in wonder.
