  1. Q= Where are the Seychelles?
    A= Well! Evidently on planet Earth, but more precisely 4 degrees south of the Equator, in the Indian Ocean.
  2. Q= Is there a Time difference?
    A= We also have 24 hours in a day, but depending on where you are from you may be ahead or behind local time.
  3. Q= How should I dress?
    A= You’re free to arrive in a bikini or board short, but light casual will do for everyday use, some hotels also like your best 007 evening wear for dinner.
  4. Q= Will I be able to Communicate?
    A= If you can read the following you will be fine; “*@%#*&%” Did you get that!! Also English and French is widely spoken. Some hotels also have German, Russian, Arabic, Chinese speakers to assist.
  5. Q= What Money should I bring?
    A= Everything but Monopoly money. Banks and Money changers are available everywhere and accept most major currencies. They will of course give you Seychelles Rupees in exchange.
  6. Q= What are the Business Hours?
    A= Everything generally operates Mon – Fri 8.00am to 5.00pm and Sat 8.00am to 1pm. If you need eggs before 8.00am, the chickens are still asleep and so should you be!
  7. Q= Is Swimming safe?
    A= If you sink in your bath tub, please swim on the sand, otherwise the sea around the islands are typically quite safe as long as you have adequate swimming skills. Always observe the conditions before entering the water, as there may be strong current at times. If unsure, ask the locals, they know very well.
  8. Q= Can I get Married?
    A= If you hide the poor souls passport, they won’t be able to run, so yes! Most hotels offer wedding packages, it can also be organized by private wedding planners, but give at least a minimum of 5 days for processing.
  9. Q= How is the Night Life?
    A= I saw a crab cross the road the other night, the others were asleep! But you can find nightly entertainment in bars around Eden Island and in the casinos in Victoria and Baie Lazare.
  10. Q= How do i get around?
    A= By tortoise would be cheaper, but you would never leave the airport. You can also use the public bus service, car hires or private transfers. Flying broomsticks are not available at the moment.
  11. Q= Where is the best place to stay?
    A= Your own home if you are expecting a PERFECT holiday. Expect the unexpected, they are what makes the unforgettable moments in life. Hotels on the islands range from Family run to 5*. But please bear in mind that you are in the tropics, and you will definitely come across insects, rain storms, strong winds, etc. But this is just for a brief moment, and the insects are just extending their welcome.
  12. Q= How is the Weather?
    A= UHmm, very sunny at NIGHT, and many stars during the DAY! On a serious note, it is generally warm with cool breezes and at times passing showers. Rainy season is from November to March, but ask Mr Climate Change to be sure. Seems Mrs Mother Nature is confused these days.
